Hi Yealey Families,

It's been a great week at school. I was fortunate this week to get to spend a little time in a 2nd grade math classroom seeing our new math program in action. I was impressed with the lessons and thought the problems they were asking the students to solve were great. They were hard but I love watching students figure it out when it doesn't come easy right away. The first time they feel that success after productive struggle is such a fun celebration for them. Please keep encouraging your children to work hard and ask them about the problems they are solving in their new math books.

Next week we will have field day on Friday. I know it will be an incredible day. Mrs. Hedenberg always does an amazing job at getting that organized. Please make sure your child come dressed ready to participate and ready to have fun.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
